Nice project! Keep the updates coming.

Thanks, I haven't had much opportunity to work on it lately but I will soon. I hope to have to motor mounts fabbbed up in the next few weeks. Then the oil pan. After that I'll have to sit on it a few months until I have some more cash.

I've run into an issue. The Ford slave cylinder I was going to use is too tall so I have to figure out another way to actuate the clutch. On the bright side I got the 944 torque tube and transaxle installed. Well mostly. The coupling still has to be made up and I lost the pointy bolt that connects the shift rod to the tranny linkage.

Just use a regular bolt ground to a point on a grinder. You might want to drill a hole in it for safety wire so you don't lose it again.

I put it somewhere so I would not lose it but I don't remember where that somewhere is. I looked everywhere.

Without knowing what you're using I'm assuming you have a pivot arrangement with a slave sticking out the side of the bellhousing that's either hitting the firewall because of the clocked angle or it's depth aka a 931 arrangement...
If you can't find a bellhousing which allows the slave to be clocked you either find a shorter slave, modify the firewall to accommodate the depth of the slave or change the config to use a hydraulic slave throwout bearing such as GM that sits around the t.t between the bellhousing and pressure plate.

A few pics might be helpful in understanding your problem better... but these generally are the way to go, and setting them up with a remote bleeding too

This is what I had. I wanted to use it because I already had one that I knew to be good. It's about 1 1/2 inches too tall. That Chevy one looks like it might actually fit.

mcleod, tilton or some ram versions look alot smaller in depth, need to check release depth of your pp though vs the throw of the bearing so the clutch doesn't drag or hang up after clutch wear, has to have enough travel both ways so to speak...
