Rebuilding a 931, and I see this wire near the battery... looks like a main ground, but the battery terminals are already there... this is just hanging out.

- does anyone know what this is for?
- how would I ground this? Just add a large end piece and bolt it to the body?

The starter did work before I tore down the engine, so I don't think it's that

Interesting, so I should just put a connector on it and ground it to the body? Or somehow splice it into the negative battery terminal?

It might be a stretch but I've read that some have run an additional ground wire from the block to body ground near the negative battery terminal to help with mysterious grounding issues. This was written up in the most recent issue of Excellence magazine.

So another clue might be....where does the other end of that wire go?
