The turbo on my S1 is a K26-2664G4.10 and has the # "5326 970 6407". What exactly does that mean? I didn't see it on your list.

The earlier US 931 turbo..

The "5326 970 6407" is like a complete turbo part number with the last number being a revision number, I think..

The S1 turbos are 5326 970 640X iirc they are not all 7s.. Probably something to do with the turbine housing revisions from flat gaskets to the metal ring gaskets or something.. But I don't really know..

My bad, I should've said I saw the K26 number, but not the part number.

Hey!!

Some of those PDF's links died in the OP but I just remembereed I uploaded them and they are still available here..

Most importantly "Borg Warner (kkk) turbo parts.pdf" is the big beast of part numbers..

Just a quick question.
Other than color is there any other distinction between red ID tags and blue ID tags?

I think blue tags are factory original, or factory rebuilds, and red tags are aftermarket rebuilds..

Can you then decipher this?
Red Tag

84 329 4564
5326 970 6407

5326 970 6407

US S1 Turbo 1979-1980 , the bigger OEM one, "2664" compressor, 6407 so likely has the updated turbine housing for sealing with the metal rings instead of the old flat gaskets..
Good for 1 bar..
Red tag so it has been rebuilt by some shop..

Very interesting and thank you.
I saw that it should be a series 1 but I wanted to make sure as it came off of the '81 that I'm parting out.
Again, thank you for your confirmation!
