Soooo,
My car is running great so I thought I should screw that up by correcting some annoying issues. I am in the process of replacing all the front rubber/balljoints and while I am in there I want to fix some leaks. I cleaned the underside and went for a 100 mile spin.
I'm thinking front seal in the oil pump and lower turbo to hose seal.
Am I close? Fixable in the car?

The first one is almost certainly the front seal that goes on the crankshaft.
The second is quite likely multiple things. The first thing to do is to tighten ALL of the connections to the turbo and to the oil filter console. Try that first to see if it slows down the leaks.
In the meantime, buy one of my turbo installation seal kits, and then install them when you get the chance. Not the easiest chore, but definitely doable...and much easier if you can get access to a lift. When you install the crush washers for the banjo fittings at the filter console, use blue loctite, and make sure to tighten to at least FSM-specified torque. I find that those two banjo fittings are the most difficult of all of the turbo-oil-circuit interfaces to reliably seal. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I'd do crank and cam seals, as well as water pump and tensioner while you have the belt off. _________________ Toofah King Bad
