Someone asked for pics of cross member for the conversion I did on the 1978 924 . I installed a 1988 924s motor out of a wreck I purchased for 250.00. I also bought a supposedly recent rebuilt short block and a trans torque tube and a tube of head parts off a forum member . Lets just say the trans had bad syncro's would not go into third gear. The block was so scored it needed to be rebored . The torque tube was good so I could use that one to replace the damaged one from the wrecked car I bought.
The saying let the buyer be ware comes to mind . The member I bought the parts from has a good reputation so I took his word for the condition of the parts boy was I wrong. I learned my lesson.
