I don't understand what the thing is you want to block off and the pipe to which you refer. Could you give a pic or a part description? Are you referring to a California only '80 924 NA engine? |

The EGR tube has a slide nut fitting to hold it to the exhaust pipe. My egr tube was broke when I bought my car and it was the first thing to be removed. The nut was rusted/welded to the pipe so it wasn't going to come off. I cut the pipe a couple inches infront of the nut and then smashed the pipe flat. Yeah, it leaked a little exhaust, but now it is replaced (see signature). If you can get the nut off the pipe, take it and the tube into a fastener shop to match the size and thread since you can't take the pipe in.
Hope this helps. _________________ 1977 924na BlackSeaRD.com Torque Tube SuperBearings, Xenon air dam, 200# Weltmeister springs, Bursch header, 944 exhaust, Audi throttle body |
