My car has been working nicely, although lately I notice that it starts to sputter after an hour or so of driving. Through some research I've found that this may be due to the fuses and relays overheating, so today in my curiosity I felt around that area to see if it was hot and I literally burnt my finger and immediately got a blister. It was scorching hot, and I'm guessing the fuel pump isn't getting the power it needs which equates to the car sputtering. My wipers have been working on and off lately and today they just died in the rain. What's the best way to go about alleviating the electronic circuits so that they don't get so damn hot?
Thanks, sorry for posting two threads, they are two distinctly different issues. _________________ 924, 82, 5 speed, dark red, 500 dollar special.

Moisture gets into the cabin of these cars so easily and causes severe corrosion on all the electronics connections. Clean every ground, etc you can possibly get your hands on. After I did mine, I found my temperature gauge no longer showed the high temps and stayed below the half mark all the time. Everything just started to work the way it was supposed to. I ended up pulling the entire dash out so I could get to every connection. Not hard to do and worth it. _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |
