As the new owner of a 924 Turbo with no handbook a few of the switches are either too intelligent for an idiot like me, or they actually don't work... like the fog lights. I see a 3-position rocker-switch on the dash, and when I press it the little orange light on the end of it lights up, but this does not seem to actually illuminate anything outside the car. Then there are the little rocker switches on the centre console behind the gear lever. So far I have worked out that one is blank, one is headlight washers, one is the rear window wiper, and one has whal looks like a picture of a light on it but doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas? _________________ 1979 Porsche 924 Turbo

On the RoW turbo the main rocker on the front console only operates the rear fogs despite giving you the impression it does the front lights
The smaller switch in the centre allows the 'driving lamps' to come on with the main beams or not. They will not come on as a switchable fog light.
If the pop up headlights are down and you flash the main beam the driving lamps will flash _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

Thanks for this, now it makes sense. So the auxiliary lights at the front are driving lights, not fog lights? _________________ 1979 Porsche 924 Turbo
