| I need to change my front brake pads, ball joints, flush radiator, change a window regulator, install a rear sway bar and possibly figure out why the fuel gage is not working. Can I get it done in a day? |

Not likely. I'd call that at least two moderate-paced days of work for most. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Prioritize! And also figure out segmentation...
front pads and balljoints are clearly a same-time deal, while you're in there. Expect the balljoints to take longer; how are you getting the old ones off?
The rad flush might be easy to accomplish too, while you have the front up.
Window regulator and rear ARB (sway bar) are not critical items; do them at your leisure. Note that it IS possible to drive the car around without the door card - though changing the regulator isn't that long once you have the door card off, assuming you have a very large sized phillips screwdriver (for those screws - correct size).
As for the fuel gauge: RTFAQ!!! There's a very good article in there I wrote (Electrical section IIRC) about cleaning the sender... though maybe you just have a bad ground? Certainly start with cleaning the grounds. _________________ Vaughan Scott

| Well I finished the ball joints. I don't know what I'm less comfortable with the small hardware that replaces the rivets or the thought of drilling it out to use larger hardware. I would have had the brakes finished but O'Reilly's gave me pads for a 924S instead of a 924 so those won't be here until tomorrow. my fuel accumulator is leaking like mad so I'm going to put the one from my old car on there. It probably doesn't hold pressure but it never leaked. I have to drop the exhaust system and replace a bolt that rattled its way loose. I hope I can get the rear swap bar installed but it's not looking good. |
