Have driven the 924 a lot the past few weeks since the weather has been quite nice for the time of year.
Few mods done; made a proper crankcase breather canister, moved the battery to the spare wheel compartment and washed the car!

Looking very nice. I like your breather modification.
Have you had much blow-by when running more than 1bar boost?
I have considered fitting an exhaust venturi crankcase breather system. My exhaust should be very low back pressure so it should work. _________________ 1979 UK 932 |

@ Weasel
Had a bit of blow-by but because i was just using the stock hose (with the restrictor removed) sometimes a few drops of oil came out; making things messy. Have made the can with a return to the sump and lots of baffles in it. Not a drop of oil has come out if it since and it smells better inside the car .
@ Morghen,
Hard to see but the car is standing on a small incline. It sits perfectly level, but is quite low indeed; like that . Have not decided on a rear spacer yet.
Have decided on something else though, bought this;
Yes, intended for this car . Am not going to put it in right away; since then the car won't be drivable for quite some time. Plan to start around November. First like to try the Catcams cam and enjoy the car till November (if the engine lasts). |

Well, I can't wait for that build thread! Will you rename the car 2924 (=924+2000)? _________________ 1981 932 with mods:

Update; have been driving the car a lot last year, the engine didn't miss a beat .
Since i'm pretty busy with other stuff, have decided to put the k20 swap on hold for a bit... But did finally manage to make time to put the upgrade cam, springs, and solid lifters in.
The results; 352 rwhp @ 1.6 bar of boost pressure (around 400 engine hp)... lost torque down low though, so although it will be much faster when driven in anger... am sure this cam is not everybodies cup of tea.

Impressive result.
It amazes me how easy you make it look to convert the car to efi, strap a big turbo on it and make loads of power. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

Great news that you will keep this engine for a while Have you had the possibility for any performance logging? Would be interesting to see how fast it is.
What sweep speed do you use on the dynapack?
What cam is it? _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

Sweep speed on the dynapack i usually set to 2 seconds for every 1000 rpm. Run from the picture was done on 1.5s for 1000rpm and a pretty long time between the previous run; turbo spool up is about 2-300 rpm later in this print and power down about 3-4 hp.
Have a g-tech performance meter but like the racelogic stuff better. Did two runs last year with 300 whp: 12.9 @ 184 kmh and the other run had a mis shift; gear lever came loose . I'm sure that time can be improved a lot.
Cam is 5220021 Catcams. |

Lol there is no kit
Me and Pieter have done turbo modification by making the crossover pipe our own and also installed VEMS EFI.
And yes, you can boost stock engine, it can quite easily take ~230-250 hp on 98RON gasoline. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
