being not as ambitious or industrious as kcoyle (nice job!) - I ordered and have received a plastic dash cap from Coverlay - it appears to fit, and the black color matches - but the texture is a bit different from the existing dash and the other areas below it (glove box, etc) - has anyone covered the dash cap with a vinyl that would better match the texture of the existing dash/surroundings? If so, can you provide the brand/detail for the replacement vinyl - and I'll cover the cap before installing it....thanks much RickJ _________________ RickJ |

My local upholstery shop looked it up in a bunch of books till we found the right grain/pattern. It was in a european (MB/Porsche) book. He ordered it from CA. _________________ 1982 931- Stock with MBC at 8psi

Somewhere along the line I ended up with a plastic dashboard cover that I think matches the 924 grain pretty well. Just took a look at it and it's a "dashtop #1003." Did a google search and found this:

Don't take my word for it and immediately order it though, let's see what others have to say _________________ 1979 924 NA
