| My dipstick has no seal so it leaks oil out of the hole as I drive. Does anybody know the part number for the seal? Or something I could use as a replacement? |

Sounds like you've got bigger problems. Your crankcase should be vented to your airbox. Your crank breather must be blocked in order for you to be leaking oil out around your dipstick. _________________ 78 924 NA

| I hooked up a brand new breather hose just 2 months ago! I guess I'll check it again for blockage... |

Can I ask where you got the breather hose?
These are no longer available here, I tried many different sources.
It is a very special hose with a small restrictor inside. _________________ 1983 NA Alpineweiss since 2001

Good hardware store should have an oring that will fit, if you walk in with it.
Oh, and +1 on your excessive crank pressure. Compression test may be in order. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Not sure, but havent I read somewhere that your dipstick has to have a good seal for the EFI to work properly ??

Oil breather hose can be any oil resistant hose, just jam a piece of broom handle in it with a 6mm hole in the centre. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA
