Hey folks,
Something bizarre has happened! I've been busy testing out my latest EFI conversion, starting the engine, getting it to idle, backing it in and out of my driveway, etc. I haven't touched the car in a couple days. I went out into the garage the evening to check on things and I noticed that I could push the car around while it was in gear (the e-brake doesn't work currently). Confused, I put the transmission in first and turned the key expecting the car to lurch forward a bit. Nothing. I cycled through the gears and rolled the car back and forth in the drive way.. It's like the transmission stopped talking to the engine. The gear lever feels great; I can feel each gear is real tight. I got under the car and had someone actuate the clutch. The plunger was pushing the clutch fork just like it's suppose to. What the heck happened??? _________________ Brian

my guess without seeing it the transmission selector has issues at the trans end.

Or a busted CV. Either output flange turning when the car is running and in gear? Look carefully! _________________ Toofah King Bad

Funny story.. Turns out the previous owner was in the process of putting a new transmission in the car and they didn't finish tightening down the coupling between the drive shaft and the transmission! _________________ Brian
