I have lurked here for years and learned a great deal.
As a Nooby I need to tell everyone my 1980 924 NA is a two owner. I bought the car in 1990 from the original owner and have kept and maintained it since. It was a DD for about ten years and then semi-retired. As I have fully-retired I decided to put more time and $$$ into the car. I have pictures of the car on my Kwik-Lift for some minor clutch work and other clean-up but I do not know how to post them. (Help!?)
My reason for this post is my cooling fan recently stopped. I disconnected the switch at the radiator and the Red wire is showing good voltage. My simple question is ... can I jump across these two terminals to test the fan without harming any other circuits? In other words: will this safely put 12 V on the fan?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's a good valid test for fan function, won't hurt anything. _________________ Vaughan Scott
