Pic of the turbo - K26/K27 with 3070 compressor wheel good for ~570cfm.
I'm tempted to use a #8 turbine housing to reduce back pressure but fear it will move the boost threshold up too high.

I have some Techline Turbo X high temp coating to apply to the exhaust manifold, turbine housing and probably the down pipe.

Side by side with original turbo:-

Clutch had over 50% wear so bought a new stock plate.
This will be fitted in conjunction with a 911 alloy pressure plate to lose a little rotating mass and increase clamping force.

Stock cam lobe shape:-

Had a custom cam ground by AGAP of Sweden on a new cam core.

237°@0.050" lift for the inlet, with max lift 12.2mm/0.480"

229°@0.050" lift for the exhaust, with max lift 11.9mm/0.469"

Ground on a 112° lobe separation angle.
This will be fitted along with solid lifters from Sten Parner Motorsport (Thanks Gegge)

Shape of new cam:-

Old and new cam side by side:-

It's good to see you managed to solve the budget problem Those are some extremely nice goodies you have for your 932. I'm eager to see how it is all going to come together

Hi Arwid. The cost has been spread out since August 2011 and a lot of the parts are second-hand.

The pistons were less than half the price of new OEM Mahle so that was an easy decision and the cam worked out roughly the same cost as new OEM from Porsche.

I didn't want to compromise much on the parts so made it a long-term project from the start.
Hopefully it all goes back together ok...

I do read your thread - your 924 Kompressor project is impressive with some clever engineering

Where did you find the alloy 911 pressure plate? Those seem to be very difficult to find over here...

Yeah I know what you mean, they're not easy to find here either.
It was a lucky fleabay find, used but in good condition. I was the only bidder so bagged it for a rather unbelievable £30.

I think you can get them new, but not cheap as part of a Sachs kit.

Haha! I must admit, it was probably my best and luckiest score.

Please don't hate me

The car looks good Wes. Some of those parts look very pretty. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Cheers, George. Hopefully they run as good as they look!
