Thanks, Joe. Everybody seems to love pics here, so I tried to get as many as I could. _________________ 1981 932 with mods:

Ditto. Sums up my thoughts too, in plain Australian language.
Great effort George.
Like the headers & SS exhaust and don`t even have a turbo. Am about to re-do my exhaust soon though and would like to know more about the muffler you used. Pipe "looks" more like #304 than #409 too.
Should be up your way in a month or 2, perhaps we could hook up for a drive, along with any other Brizzy or GC boys? _________________ World`s quickest 924 2L slushbox

Thanks, RC.
I can't tell you much about the exhaust, except that it's SS, 3" and that it cost heaps.
A drive would be good, I hope the car is ready by then... PM me when you are coming up. _________________ 1981 932 with mods:

An update. Almost everything that has been coated is now on the car. Intercooller mockup is happening now. Pics below speak for themselves.

Gorgeous, amazing, fascinating! Very envious of that header!!!
Where are you planning to put the alternator? Will it fit in stock location? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Looks like a great build! I like the turbo choice and local!
My fabricator would have no problem cranking out those adapters...
If the A/C is non-operable, I'd duck the alternator down a bit and it should fit right perfect.
This thread makes me wanna go drive my car... _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Thanks, Dan. Header is a work of art, truly! Alternator will not fit in stock location as the inlet manifold piping will be in the way. It will go near where the NA alternator goes, down and to the left as you look at the car from the front? But because there's not much room down there now we are planning to use one from a Daihatsu Sirion: it's smaller, and puts out more power. It's also probably lighter. So if anyone in OZ wants my alternator let me know. _________________ 1981 932 with mods:

Thanks, I just copied other people who used a similar location already.

I've sold the adapter to WEASEL149. People should contact him if they want one.

A/C works and I need it here in Brisbane.

Looking awesome. Your car will be a real sleeper - stock on the outside but not underneath
There seems to be a bit of a wave of 931/2 tuning and resurrection going on at the moment which is nice to see. _________________ 1979 UK 932 |

I went and looked at it today. No change from the above photos. In fact, everything will now take longer as the shop has lost the mechanic who was working on my car. Now the boss (a Porsche trained mechanic) will work on it when he can. He tells me the heat exchanger will go in front of the A/C condenser and the pump/reservoir will go...??
If you want more photos of anything in particular, let me know and I'll take them. _________________ 1981 932 with mods:

Looks like a great project. This car has an A/C? Why don't you abuse it and use it's power for the intercooler? We did that once on a car and it's utterly great. Keep up the work and come up with photos mate. |

Thanks. No A/C in Brisbane is for masochists. _________________ 1981 932 with mods:
