Hey, JoeJax, here's some fresh pix of the "silver ghost" (as you've called it). I'll reveal more plans for this car in the coming months:

It's far from perfect...but it is a fantastic base to start from. The body is relatively straight, although the paint is much worse than the photos depict. It will be getting new paint, new motor, new trans, and new suspension over the fall/winter.

I have a set, and I was thinking about putting them on, but upon reflection, I think it would just look wrong. All of the factory racers had the butt-ugly US bumpers, and the DProds were made specifically for the SCCA circuit, so if I'm doing a tribute car, it's probably a bit thematically incorrect to put the Euro bumpers on. Still waffling on this one!!!

Ahahaha, you're right, I moved the DProd to get the tractor out of the garage so I could mow the lawn...took the shots beforehand though!!!

Say, Dave, when are you coming back to Michigan? I could really use your expertise to dial in the Webers that are going on this puppy...

I meant to post this a long time ago, but here's the silver ghost right after getting 'er back from the painter.

She still needs to be rubbed out.

I've also gotten the old motor pulled.

The cold harsh winter has prevented any further progress because I still need to degrease and power wash the engine bay before I can go any further.

Next steps:
- degrease engine bay
- drop the 4-speed trans
- drop the rear suspension
- drop the torque tube
- install G31 torque tube
- install refreshed suspension with G31 torsion carrier
- install rebuilt G31+LSD
- install motor
- replace front suspension with 86 951 components
- install Brembos
- install clutch hydraulics
- figure out fueling
- install MegaJolt
- Fire it up

Gonna be a busy spring.

Will you lower it to lessen the fender gap?

Yes. It's getting all new suspension with coilovers at all four corners.
