The vacuum line feeding the blow off on my GTS wannabe is small in diameter and sometimes the blow off does not open...the push is very violent and I don't like it...also because of the CIS in front of the turbo there is no noise.

Ok but remember i run 1.1bar on a k27...thats more air by a fair amount compared to the factory k26. So for the factory setup it may be a little smoother? Dont know..but what i know is that i love the open blow off sound when shifting gears.

I purchase the seats kit from Only944.com
All was good, delivery time, packaging, all required hardware and product quality.
Online instruction are good, lots of pictures and explanation.

Two things to mention:
1-The online instruction is only for the regular 944 seat and does not cover the difference/particularity of the sport seat.
2-Although 924 and 944 seats are interchangeable, they are not the same. Few little things are different.

Overall, not to hard to figure out how to adapt to sport seats and to adapt for earlier seats.
It took me a total of 7 hours to do both seats spread over a week. About 4 hours for the first one and 3 hours for the second.

I'm happy with the result and can't wait to install and enjoy them.

Before

After

I'd recommend re installing the carpets and trim into the rear of the car. They weigh next to nothing and make the cabin feel and look nicer.

I have plans to apply EZ cool and lightweight carpet over the rear seats and rear of the car. Maybe next spring.

I really like the look of this style center console delete..

I might do mine like that one day..

Your car is gorgeous..

As far as the BOV..
When you (whoever) ran with no BOV, closed system, what sort of psi spikes were you seeing when you dropped the throttle?
You didn't have a problem with blowing any of the various boost/vac diaphragms on the car?

I wonder how the WG diaphragm feels about seeing a sudden 50-75 psi spike?
The thought crossed my mind to worry about the distributor diaphragms blowing due to high boost but if you didn't blow any of them running with no BOV then I guess they are G2G.. Not sure if you guys had vac/boost distributors though..

You have probably scene the BOV I run. It's a china one but seems to work.. Might be a bit too small..

I had it hooked to the wrong vacuum (ported) for a while and it made my engine rev in between shifts and lag from wot to off throttle..

Another idea for you..
If you want to experiment with the fitment of a "upgrade" turbo, you can put a standard (no built in recirc valve) compressor housing on your 2664.. A compressor housing that looks and fits just like the 951 ones..
Then you could build all of your piping and get your aftermarket BOV installed and working, get the package ready..

That way you don't have to bite the $$ for the turbo upgrade, bite the turbo swap job, and bite the custom intake stuff all at the same time..

This way at first you can bite just the custom intake project to make it work and you will be ready to "drop in" a 951 compressor..

You can swap the compressor housings with the turbo fully installed in the car thereby eliminating the wretched job of swapping the entire turbo on these cars...

You can do this very cheap too because I will loan you the standard 2664 compressor housing if you want..

The biggest pain here is making and installing a new boot from the comp to the AFM including a 1" line off of the boot for your BOV recirc to blow back into..

Mine is, from comp to AFM, 2.5"-3" reducer 90 to 3" coupler with a 1" NPT bung to about a 45 3" to the AFM, but use a 90 and cut it in the middle of the bend for that one..

This is the most difficult part of my piping to make and get all the angles right, very difficult to install up in there also..
Pretty much get it right once and NEVER take it apart again, just take it off by the ends and it will stay right..

Thanks

Ref the BOV, I'm still running the EOM re-circulation valve on mine, so I can't answer your questions.

I ran my turbo with the recirc valve closed and no BOV. No boost spikes according to my datalogger. I hopefully have a new turbo on its way later this summer. It won’t have a recirc valve. Nor will it have a BOV. I do hope it has Quattro S1 style compressor surge.
