Not much progress lately, but here's a few things that I've been working on.

Here's how I ran the wires to the gauge connector.

I got the exhaust installed... and just in case you were ever curious, here's a comparison.

Muffler after being cleaned up.

Welded the cracks on the headers.

I tossed the rusty old turbo bolts and ordered new ones.

Got the headgasket set today. Now I can finally start getting some this stuff put together.

It was already gutted when I got it. I was thinking of welding in a straight pipe, but I wasn't sure if it was worth the effort.

Turbos work better without back pressure. Go ahead and put 3" pipe in there with a couple of straight through mufflers, you'll like it. If its too noisy (turbo works as a pretty good muffler already) you can add a chambered muffler at the end.

I've done this to nearly every turbo car I've owned with good effect and no issues with passing noise ordinances.

Oh, I'm defiantly going to move up to a larger turbo and exhaust in the future. I'm just trying to get her running before adding any mods.

By this, I just meant that I didn't think it was worth the effort to cut the cat out and weld a new section in. I don't have the resources to make my own exhaust. I'll probably go with a Lindsey 3" when the time comes.

Thanks, here's a pic from today. This should give you a taste of what it will look like when finished.

For now, I'm just looking to upgrade the suspension and brakes enough to cope with the extra power. It won't be anything serious and I haven't bought anything yet.

If you're asking long term... well that's an entirely different project that I've not put much thought into.

Did you plan to use a 9R cam ? (944 NA ph2)

A 924 turbo 2,5L work fine on track ! With K26/6 and kit guru (260/270 euro HP)

One friend with my car :
http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/xqy9so_fordailles-en-porsche-924_auto

It kills Audi S3, Lotus Elise, CRX, Subaru WRX, Clio RS ... with poor street tires...

Yeah, I don't suppose I've set the bar very high.

Yep. I figured that even if it doesn't give any extra performance, it won't hurt anything.

Looks like so much fun!

Fifai, just out of curiosity, you have any pics of how you ran the fuel lines? I'm getting ready to do them this week, and I was thinking that there is probably an easier way than what I have in mind.

With stock turbo (k26-6) the cam is'nt verry good.... boost arrive between 3500/4000 tr/min... it increase MEP (manifold exhauts pressure)
But it can help with a big track setup. Now I wish I has stook cam for more driveabilty on street. Maybe i have also exhaust leeks that cause this spool ... if you have more infos on 9R cam effect on stock engine you're welcome !

I used stock fuel lines.

This is my first instalation, then I add an adjustable fuel regulator and a fuel pressure gauge in serial with the stock one.

Here is the stock fuel line on the botom of the picture. The problem is that fuel lines and exhaust are very close. I put there a thermal protection.
