Hey guys - general (EFI related) electrics question: When I plug in the wiring loom into the megasquirt, the injectors 'click' and become very warm. Is this normal? It doesn't seem like a good thing..

Definitely not a good thing, sounds like they are opening and staying open. Something is screwed up.

Turns out this is normal. What I am hearing is the 'Prime Pulse'. Check it out here - http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=41146&p=0&e=0&sid=cc0c25913b0f329e902a7e369a4bf6ab

Sure, but your injectors shouldn't be warming up. Warming up implies that they are staying open.

Yes, they should only open briefly for the priming pulse and not stay open for more than a few milliseconds (depending on the software settings)

I may have been mistaken when I thought they got warm. This is an observation of a (idiot) helper that I was working with at the time. After re analyzing the wiring a dozen times, I've determined that there is no possible way for the injectors to activate and stay open unless there is a problem with the internals of the ECU brain (which I ordered pre assembled from DIY Autotune). While this is possible, it is highly unlikely.

I have everything wired up and confirmed functioning properly, save the RPM single (which appears to be very noisy) and the injectors (whom receive voltage but have not been tested for ground yet).
