Hi Good 924'ers my 82 is very rich at idle... as it has had the exhaugst tinkered with (previous owner) the O2 sensor is gone.. however the frequency valve etc is still there and i was wondering whether this could be making the car rich? as in very low (non existant) voltage return to O2 sensor unit making the car think it is too lean and making full correction via freq valve causing rich?... does that make any sense?, to others who have modified exhaugst what has to be done to fix emission control to not make adjustments?

Thanks in advance...

When the O2 sensor is removed, the car goes to a 50/50 duty cycle which essentially means that the frequency valve does not work. Use the search function and find the mixture set steps.

In all honesty, the best thing to do would be to buy a pressure tester and make sure all the components are working correctly first.
