|
|
I have contacted http://www.classicsiliconehoses.com/our-products/, with regards manufacture of coolant hoses for the 931. I am trying to gauge the interest in having them manufacture a full set of hoses specifically for the 931, and possibly the 924. They already do a set for the 924S.
Using the PET i have come up with the following list of hoses for the 931.
#'s are from the IPB page 44 of PET
#1 046 121 051
#6 046 121 053 (PET shows 931 106 263)
#30 931 106 159 00
#31 931 106 159 00
#9 046 121 061
#5 931 106 267 01
heater hose #s are from IPB on page 337 of PET
# 33 477 819 723A
#34 477 819 725A NLA from Porsche
Of these hoses 1, 5, 6, 9 and the heater hoses 33, and 34 would be hard to replace once they are NLA...... I may focus my efforts on these 6 depending on level in interest. Any comments are welcome.
Thanks

I've not heard many great things about silicone coolant hoses (mostly related to difficulty with keeping them from leaking or popping loose) _________________ Stefan

I have used silicone heater hose before and never had a problem with them popping off. I did however use the special lined or extended band worm gear clamps for silicone hose. Silicone requires higher clamping force than rubber, but will extrude through the slots in a standard worm gear hose clamp, so you have to use the proper clamps.
