As a new member I thought to introduce myself and our car.
We (my wife and I) live in Holland and we're the proud owners
of the Eisbaerin. (That's German for polar bearess)
Before we bought her we owned a grey 924. This was our first
924 and it's todo list grew way over our head, so we had to do
away with 'Earl'. Since Earl got us addicted to the 924, he had
to be replaced and now we're proud to present his older sister:
The Eisbaerin is a 1980 Porsche 924 Le Mans edition that's still
fully original. (European model of course and still fast enough)
Already we like to thank this board and it's members for the
information found here so far and we hope you don't mind this
Dutch couple joining the ranks...
René
(sorry for making it clickable links instead of pics; I couldn't get it to work)
What's the max size for pics here? Maybe that's it... _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 Le Mans edition aka the Eisbaerin

Welcome!
Unfortunately, the links don't appear to be working either
Here's a tutorial on how to post pix here:

Thanks for the info! I've edited the first post and I'll
throw in some more pics in this post in a bit...
And here they are:
(The small marks on the hood have already been fixed)
Unfortunately the only camera I always have on me is
an android phone with a simple camera.
And one of 'Earl' who turned into a donorcar. His parts
live on in many other Dutch 924's. Our 'Eisbaerin' has
his clock:
We'll always remember him as the one who started our addiction.

We're on the lookout for restauration decals, since
our front stripes are missing. What you see is the
original paint and decals. So far all I've found is
French and German companies that used to make
them. Might I find an address, I'll post it here... _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 Le Mans edition aka the Eisbaerin

Hi, I'm a newbie from Germany. The decals for the Le Mans will be available in e few weeks at Toms www.Werk924.com here in Germany. There you can find my Le Mans too. I try to find as much informations about these models I can find. I try to build up a register too. So it would be very helpful to get the VIN of your car. My cars FIN is the 400745.
Regards, Rhegra |
