As I had the car apart, I pulled out the motor mounts.
It is on '82 and to the best of my knowledge they are
original, but they don't look bad.
The spring on the right one is intact, and the rubber all
is still bonded to the metal. Should I replace them anyway?

I would not replace it. If it looks good and is solid. Somebody must have taken REAL good care of your car.

I don't know, John... The original right hand side mount on my '82 looked pretty good as well. I still replaced it however, and as a result of this the drivetrain of my car became a lot smoother with less vibration. But I suppose if the old mount looks really good it does not necessarily have to be replaced. Was there a lot of drivetrain vibration before, when the car was running?

I've decided to replace them anyway. There was some vibration, which
was why i took the whole thing apart. But it seemed to be related to
the torque tube, not the engine. But, rather safe than sorry.

Thanks for the input

Jon
