True story, my brother came over one day in his POS Nissan Sentra, he said he was having engine problems. He had driven the 25 miles or so to my house without stopping.
I tell him to pop the hood to see what the problem was, he does so and comes around to open the hood. When he did, we looked in and on top of the engine was a pissed off looking squirrel sitting there.
It looked at us then bolted for the nearest tree. It wasn't in too bad of shape, a little hair missing and really mad. I said "I guess that was your problem" and was laughing uncontrollably.
I think I still see that squirrel around, it looks at me like I did something wrong, but I think we both know if I hadn't attempted to fix that POS, no telling what would have happened to that squirrel. _________________ I got nothin'

Local to the area is an animal called antechinus or "flat mouse" these things are bred for speed, stick to roofs like spiders (as they eat them) and can pancake themselves to fit through gaps of less than 10mm. They also have a penchant for chewing wiring.
I distinctly remember the expression my cat had on it's face when confronted with antechinus "well WTF do you want me do to about it, I don't climb walls"??? he was a sulry ginger maine coone and we tolerated each other, I kept him him warm on cold nights in exchange for not being brutally scratched, fair deal IMHO. I don't know of many worse things than a pissed off cat waiting under your bed for when you first stick your leg out in the morning...

Hah You guys sure do have your share of strange animals down there, or is it up there?
We figured that the squirrel rode the whole way from my bro's house. They can get into alot of stuff, never heard of one riding around in an engine bay though.
Usually they're running around in the attic causing problems.
Is this your little buddy?
