Can you source the stock seals? it looks like it has a vw part no. on it so i assume you could get a pair.
This looks like a good project.

I had no joy finding the the original part. Porsche said they are discontinued. They have the AUDI logo on. Audi may be able to help, let us know if you have any joy, good luck. _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)

I would bet that if you got them from the dealer it would cost about as much as a new shock
If I had a machinist to bribe I wouldn't worry about it, but I don't and I can't bake much.
If I manage to find any such part I will share it with y'all |

You would be surprised, I had some suspension bushes come from Porsche and they were cheaper than ebay and... cheaper than a patten part from a local factors.
Also, i have found Porsche a wealth of knowledge over the phone. Its nice to know that they are still happy to supply you parts and advice rather than try flog you a new car.
that said, in this case Porsche warned to sell me a more expensive gas unit than an oil seal as there take on it was... "its obsolete, fit a gas cartage, it will take 2 days from Germany" _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)
