The bumper creation is ex. Did you use care when handling it off the car
looks like you cut so much out that it could bend there in the middle.
Id like to do this mod on my bumper.

My bumper seems to be generating alot of interest. It has been an idea that i have been wanting to try for a long time. If you look at the underside of a standard bumper you notice that it raises up a little for air clearance. I always thought that it should have been raised alot more.

I was deep in bodywork on this particular car and decided to try it. I removed the bumper pads and chopped out what I didnt want. The bumper is still very rigid but I have more grille area to work with now.

I gave her a fat ass too.

Nice job and write up!

Unbelievable! How does the universe work?

You beat me to the punch on almost two fronts. The bumper mod I have wanted to do exactly what did on my 931 since the early 90's but I stored the car instead. I think I even mention it here

http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=23940&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=645

The scoop plan of attack is almost identical to two projects I am working on now, one for a BMW and another for the 24 ( I don't want to say just yet what that one is)

Here is the start of the BMW which is the same general starting method.

Me thinks great minds think alike Again, nicely done!

Very nice work! I learned the same basic technique to make custom speaker enclosures and interior panels when the stock pieces are not available. Always fun to use the foam, sticky stuff!!!
