Hey All,

Im in the midst of seriously cleaning my interior. At the moment I have the heater box out. I'd like to replace the blower motor/ fan with something better, or just something that is new. Has anyone done this before?

Also, anyone have a favorite foam tape to replace the crumbly old stuff?

Thanks,
Ryan

I also have all the interior out and have been thinking about updating the blower motor. From what I have found there is no drop in replacement. You could update it to the newer 944 hvac unit but that requires cuting up the car to make it fit. I just cleaned the fan and used normal foam tape to reseal everything. If you find anything better let me know as I still have everything out.

Hey,

Ill let you know. I think just replacing all the foam tape will help tremendously. I just want to replace the motor cause it looks AWFUL! its so dirty and old looking.

I was surprised at how easy it was to remove the dash. I hope it all goes together easily to. Doubt it.

Yeah it is not to hard at all. If you get eletrical cleaner you can spray off the motor and clean up the contacts, it made mine work a little stronger. Good luck with everything!
