Ok cool, I will make it a priority to get these finalized with regards to pricing
Carrera, you actually had the boot setup that is close to what I am trying to achieve. The suede boot you had in your early interior where you were deciding your gauge layouts. _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

I stupidly sold the suede Momo wheel and pulled the suede shifter. The turbo has the original leather shifter knob and gaiter.
The race car shell will have the suede version, I need to sort a suede wheel, I'll also flock the dash......proper race style. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

I think we probably all did something like that at one time or another. I have been keeping tabs on your project with interest via the flow of pics on Flickr. Can't wait to see it _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Started the lengthy GTS center console process. Not that its high priority but something I can work on from home whenever I feel like I have a few minutes (hours in reality).
Took a bunch of scans from a mildly powdered (so the scanner sees it) center console. Every box you see is one scan. I then semi manually guide the scan alignment. Then let the computer tweak the alignment once I'm close. That takes a while. Helps to get rid of unnecessary scan data like the table it sits on. I want to end up with something like the bottom pic
Its also funny how I only noticed details now, like the heater controls on the same plane as face on the GTS unlike stock recessed mounting.

Mittelmotor modify the stock centre console to emulate the GTS in a similar way to how you are doing it. Keep mean to try similar

I have seen both versions and often makes me wonder what is true GTS? Not that it matters in my case. The one in my picture is from the GTS that was recently up for sale
There is a guy on the FB group that made on much like the Mittelmotor version _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Your image is GTS. My image is Mittelmotor made and not GTS......although it is in a GTS rep _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

Thanks...
The reason I wondered is because of this photo from some article. I know this isn't the German GT to GTS you mentioned way back. The German one still has the full regular console

Not sure if thats a factory GTS console install? Any ideas? Looks nicely done but not as 'GTS' as the others. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife
