The back seat that folds down would cease up after pushing the button in to unlock and would not return/lock into place. I thought it just needed some lubrication on the locks/moving parts, but that didn’t work at all. The built in spring/ returning system must have worn out over the years, since it barely gets used much. I unscrewed the buttons and put a spring in each. I had some springs sitting around (3 lbs per inch) and it works just like new! It really only needs one spring, but I put one in each. The spring is about .5 inch of height.
If you wanted to, you could put a small washer on each side of the spring to keep it from damaging anything _________________ White 1987 Porsche 924S manual |

Cool one JayZzzz4. That is a rarely nice touch. You think well!
I get so fed up of having to flick the latch with a screwdriver and as i do use the rear with seat up and down, didn't want to pull the seat apart. Just got to keep my eye out for a spring now. _________________ 924 (84) N/A 2 ltr - 5 Speed - BLACK - Project (looking for 200BHP, any ideas!)
