Just downloaded that, thank you Cedric. They list a double clamp on the last page, I've never seen this. Any idea where to find one ?

I've had well over 15+ 931's go through my hands over the years and have never seen one in person so my guess is it really wasn't that popular !

I'm a far bigger fan of flex sections in the system to isolate movement and vibrations instead of tying it into one big mess and having even more stuff crack over time !

The only cracked area in my exhaust system was at the rear end. Front end is solid and suffered no cracks or breaks. Gearbox and rear muffler employed flexible rubber mounts. Kept suffering with cracked rear exhaust mounting. Earlier this year I filled the gearbox mounts with solid urethane and removed the rubber bobbins from the rear muffler mount. So front to rear it’s all one solid mass. So far no further issues........

I bought a 79 parts car and during this winter I am pulling the fuel tank out of my 79 to replace suspected leaking hoses and possible rusted tank out.

Looking at it I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to take out the trans axle!!!

The 79 has the Porsche 5 speed dogleg that is geared in front of the axle unlike the Audi 4 speed in which it is behind.

I'll bring it in to be cleaned and sealed. Replacement should be a good week end job.

Fuel pump and accessories all stayed in place

With the time savings I should be able to replace the cracked Header pipe this winter too.

Spent Sunday at the Porsche Club GB Christmas event. They were looking for red, white, green and silver cars for the Christmas display so got mine in and went for the white display.

I sent Sabine out for a complete respray. Found a guy just starting up after 30 years of working for other people that gave me an amazing deal. I saw it fully blocked and prepped and am stoked to see it once shes shot. . .

Just got Sabine back from paint / body. Not 100% but for the $2500 I paid I am very happy. The Silver Metallic paint just glows !
No more excuses now, have to get her DONE !

Thanks Morghen, she has BY FAR the cleanest body I have ever found on a 931. Completely rust and corrosion free. I still feel bad about butchering her up to make a 'fun' car but ....what else can I do ?

Looks nice! Is that the stock Diamond Silver Metallic, or did you pick it from a different year/manufacturer? It reminds me of the VW color Reflex Silver.
