As far as the original post - I've been on hold for months now, haven't gotten to the water pump yet and its depressing me since I just got new tires all the way 'round. Just driving it around the block to is exciting but can't go much farther since it "begins to smell".
As for paint, I still wish I had gone a different route with mine. Silver on the bottom and then black on top. I used to have a pic of it, it was a track car. Just the roof, A and C pillar, not the hood. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

I'll be working on it quite a bit this winter. Hell it doesn't look like I'm going to be getting a winter driver so I might as well toss some winter tires on the 924. My plan was to keep it stored all winter and work on it. Hopefully that will still happen. I'm going to completely refurbish the wheels and give them a whoel new look, as well as Dash work. and udnerhood valence fix-up. I still need to get my big scratch fixed up too.
I actually have a whole list made up on paper. Look forward to my prawjucts!
I do agree, though. The forum is slow! _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell

I don't drive my car alot right now but I don't post at all because I haven't had to, as I just take it out to piss pound it and put it away. I did take some videos of it, it sounds like a turbo diesel. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Went for a drive yesterday, EFI working pretty damn well. Shame to park it up. But the supercharger project is back on, so she'll be out of action in a couple of weeks. And then hopefully lots of giggles once she's back on the road...
Also prepping 5-lug swap-over gear, and wondering when will I ever get that CGT FG kit on... Xmas 2010 maybe.

Yeah, if all of us keep converting to EFI, we'll just have to start talking about other things since no one will have any CIS problems to post about! haha.. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

I'm not an orange girl although "Candy Colours" are the latest rage!!
If I had the cash, I would go green
(m&m green)
Would love to see it on a 924

I just put Spike to bed for the next 6 months, a few ounces of Sta-bil, and that's that. Had a lot of fun driving it these past few months. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

9xx girl that is really close to AMC Big Bad Green!
its a very bright color! It was a bit more subdued in the paint shop. Everyone still remembers the car being that color that was about 5 almost 6 years ago. its a hard color to live with as a daily driver, ie i got pulled over within 48 hours of painting the car. _________________ 95 Neon gutted PnP MS2E turbo

Well, I've got new front rotors for the Euro 924, plus bearings. Then I'll swap in the sports seats I've got and with any luck finally fix the exhaust collector leak.
The 1980 I just got from Chrenan (for which I'm very grateful and still in shock) needs its dash and console made black to match the rest of it, and while I've go the dash out I'll add a new/secondary ground harness and tech the heater. Plus, the car is over-cooling and so I'll need to address that.
The 944? I'll go down to the shop and fire it every couple of weeks and then sit in it and dream of when it's painted. I may make vrooming noises.
The 78? I'm cutting the roof off and making a roadster, but that's for later. _________________ '84 944 - kid blew motor
