At 1.4 Bar/20psi you have to be getting around 300 crank hp you think? Maybe a bit more? |
According to fuel/air consumption from EFI datalog it must be 320-330 hp. Don't sure it's safe to run so much boost on a nearly stock engine. Also don't know how it will withstand longer drives. It may (and sure it will) demand higher capacity radiator for longer punishment than a one burst with wrong boost controller settings.
P.S. It's time to update my signature.=) _________________ WBR, Shurick

Express G31 overhaul: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5ihSjZad8U
Unfortunately, space on SD card ended up during gearbox disassembling. So it's not covered completely. _________________ WBR, Shurick

Retaining pins on the 2-3 gear fork jammed and fell off so I couldn't engage gears. _________________ WBR, Shurick

Almost forgot to tell a story about my new clutch disk.
Spec stage II disc died very fast for some unknown reasons. So I was looking for some alternative and found it for cheap.
Since I use M31/03 flywheel which shares clutch with 944, I can't use direct replacement like Mitsubishi Delica disc, but I manufactured a kit modify it:

It runs well on 1.1 bar of boost with no issues at all, but I feel it needs larger radiator. Will try to install two-pass aluminium radiator, bigger injectors and bigger oil cooler. And crank up boost to 1.3-1.4 bar. _________________ WBR, Shurick

I made a spacer and heat-treated bolts, drilled out the rivets in clutch and installed spacer.
Much like in this thread, but my spacer is reusable and more solid to accept higher torque. _________________ WBR, Shurick

Yes, I see that...and a very nice job too.
What was the clutch plate from, that you modified? There are no Bronco 11s in Australia, so I'm wondering whether it was a common Euro car. _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

It was Mitsubishi Delica diesel clutch plate. I'll post a p/n tomorrow, I need to get back to my home pc to find it. By the way, I can supply the pacer and bolts if you need. _________________ WBR, Shurick
