Very interested to see this thread, I'll have to do it eventually when I swap on my Weber kit. What are you doing about the distributor? Modifying it to work only with mechnical advance or figuring some way to run vacuum to it?

Don't want to speak for Dave, but the weber manifold + carb setup he bought from me had a port already tapped & threaded for manifold pressure. See upper right hand of this photo:

this here pic you can see alot of the vacuum hoses and cali.tubes and wotnot are removed.Note:down the side of the coil you can see 1 more new line hooked to the WUR attached to the intake manifold....Well theres 1 more fuel line under that one!!do yourself a fovor and remove the 2 coil nuts,( not the ones with the wires the 2 that hold the coil in place) and flop the coil onto the drip rail.dont ask easiier to get the banjo bolts!by the way if any one knows the proper names to these parts please chime in,and ill edit the names.also you can see the hot water valve that seize up all the time just in front of the coil.this ones seized.

The advance won't work properly with manifold vacuum. . .needs to have venturi vacuum.

They should have a blank where you can install a venturi port, but it might need a machinist's touch.

Great time to pull that coolant pipe, boil it out, and powdercoat it.

Refresh all the hoses at the rear of the head, too!

Also a good time to run an additional nice thick main ground from your battery negative post to one of those open threaded holes in the side of the block.
