I can't find the adapters for my compression tester. The adapter for the 924 head is on there. My question is:
will that thread into a 16v 1987 944S head? I'm wondering if I need to do an exhaustive search for the adapters or if I'm good with that one.

A friend of a friend has a 944S that he parked 2 years ago when it stalled on him and wouldn't start. I've rounded up all of my tools to take with me to see if I can figure out what's wrong with it. I'm missing my compression tester adapters. :-/

All the tools in the world probably won't help you/him.

Before you waste any more of your time, have the guy take a look at the timing belt.

Tools fix cars.

I am now the owner of a 1987 Porsche 944S. I took my tools and got the car back on the road. I drove it home.

The car has 90K miles
It cost me $1,000

So what tools fixed the car and what was wrong with it that your friend could not get it started?

I couldn't think of an easier fix. heh.
It took some time because I wanted to have some oil in the cylinders so they wouldn't be bone dry. I also wanted to have fresh gas in there so I drained the tank and added new gas.

The problem was the fuel pump relay.

I got a really good deal. I'm pretty excited about it. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to drive it much yet. I have to get to the DMV (which has fewer hours now and crazy long lines) and I need to get a smog check done before I can complete the title transfer (Califnornia). It's hard to take care of things when you work during all normal business hours. :-/

its like karma or some like that, go in with will and the job will reward you just for trying hard though not needed, I wish I had a friend like that, got pics of the inside

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Today's weirdness is tomorrow's reason why.

everything is in pretty good shape.
There is one dash crack in the middle but the rest of the interior is very good:
