You can put my car into the 'retired' bracket. It's not going anywhere... To be replaced (Hopefully) with a 932 which will get EFi!

Haha.. Thanks for the update dan.

How many of them are actually running/driving/etc.. vs just in progress. Or how many of the progress ones, have completed? I know a few of these guys have sold their cars/given up.

Don't even get me started!

My white 1983 924 NA was running VEMS from 2006 to 2007 before turbocharging.

it much depends on what you want to do with the car and what is the initial condition of the car....i for one, want to drive it and enjoy it...Martjinus for example enjoys the car by working on it...i had the luck to find very good condition cars so CIS works and DITCh works...so all is left for me is drive it.

Rich...if you like fidling more than driving..then throw out the CIS and DITC from that S2...but if it works and you prefer driving...then dont swap that stuff on it.
The turbocharged system is a much more complicated one compared to the NA....i hope you dont live under the ilusion that the EFI and all that stuff from your NA will just bolt on to the turbo...first thing that comes in mind is that the fuel-rail wont fit because of the chargetube...then its on to the tables...missing sensors..bla bla bla...lots of trial and error.

i've made a very effective intercooler for my 924...and recently installed a 1.0 bar spring...even tho the boost only rises to 0.7 i am more than happy with the car's performance...i'm sure that when i'll have that extra 0.3 bar i'll be in nirvana

oh..and the car will work...everyday...anytime...anywhere.

Morgen: No worries there, I'm under no illusions! I'll keep the kit to one side while I enjoy the car, then maybe a winter project.... Intercooling seems the most effective option...

I'll collect bits as I go like I did before. My last install didn't take long. Might even fit bits as I go I can fit the crank sender, trigger wheels and a few other bits.

But I'm getting over excited - I haven't even seen the car I want yet, only pics!

No idea as I never ran it on the dyno before or after, I did have problems with the ignition pickup, which should be solved on the next version which runs an aluminium front pulley.
As for mods to the engine nothing major, since 1985 when it had forged KS pistonís fitted and a new head gasket in 2004.

However Iíve removed the Haltech and gone back to the Bosch CIS and the DITC. Not because it didnít work but to put it on my race engine which is a lot more modified.
