Cool, thanks! Now, for some clarifications:
First of all, the weights listed, is that for the entire assembly: rotor, hub, caliper?

Hmmm...are you sure the one on the lower right is from a 1990??? According to PET, all hubs from 1987 onward were the new, later style where the rotor fit OVER the hub, not behind it. Maybe I have my left and right mixed up??? The one on the right with Porsche script looks like the setup from the 86 951 I sourced my brembos from...

And that brings me to conclusion that '86 951 assembly is the lightes of them all because on those the rotor bolts behind the hub making the rotor lighter.

Good info ic932!

agreed!

leads me to believe that a 951 brake conversion is a "no-brainer" mod for all 250bhp+ 931 owners lol

Dan, it's probably not that clear but the S2 pic DOES show how the disc fits over the hub and is secured by a couple of counter-sunk screws.

I must also mention that the 86 and 90 assemblies have worn out rotors and pads. The 88 has new rotors and discs.

Dan any chance that you could weigh your 86 951 parts as an assembly?
