Well while i'm waiting on my compression checker, I decided to look into my electrics a little bit again. Well I know my rear window defroster worked, i checked it, and used the FAQ (and sadly it was probably the first time i used it ). But the other night i actually tested it, I left it out side at night for awhile, and turned the car on, hit the switch, and it defrosted on the lines in the window. Well the problem is that the light in the switch never comes on when i turn it on...so I was thinking i was going to try to take apart my switch and replace the light in it... is that possible??? Or is there an easier way to do it? Or am i just kinda SOL and need to replace it???

Thanks for looking!

hey 2Fast... just noticed you're in Klamath Falls... what a coincidence I'm in Ashland... I haven't had that exact issue but a lot of dash light issues are simply lights that have popped out of their housings... my center console gauges weren't working when I got my car so I removed the center console to find that they were simply hanging behind... they will not be lit if they've popped out but once put back they all worked great...

Good Luck!

Oh nice! What are you doing in Ashland? Well I figured out the problem, theres a plate that runs from the male spade on the back that powers the light when the circit is completed. Well that plate is snapped, and broken loose from the male spade which gets power when it is turned on. So, I plan on sauldering the plate back in place, and hoping for the best!
