The parent company of the division in which I work is a major sponsor of two of the 'vettes (see http://www.corvetteracing.com/). They're having a huge executive bash there, and all the sales guys are trying to get C-level types out to our event. Unfortunately, peons like me don't even get a chance to buy tickets at a discounted rate. I tried, but no luck Guess I'll be watching on TV like everyone else. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Sorry no vacation available and I can't swing the cost of the trip.
If anyone is interested:
http://www.sdgrandchallenge.com/
On top of the events they have scheduled, they are going to hold a special $2009 event in July that will be similar to the GRM $2008 Challenge. So if anyone is interested in going down, let me know.

Very nice!
I've been to Joshua Tree several times, great place...a few years back, I got stranded 13 miles out in the desert by a POS rental car...kind of scary at 8 AM in the middle of July and the temps already above 90°F! I was very lucky to have broken down within a few hundred yards of the only other humans for miles around, managed to get a ride out, had quite an adventure getting the flatbed out there to haul the rental car out!!! Fun stuff
If you get a chance, within driving distance are Death Valley, Red Rock Canyon State Park, and Mojave National Preserve, all worthy of a visit. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
