Just like the title says. I can find all sorts of detents but how do I know which is neutral? Deduction would have me thinking the middle detent.
Thanks. _________________ '84 944 - kid blew motor

Cue tuurbo for crude joke...
Actually, yes, this is a good question...been wondering the same thing, as I have two chassis in this condition, and having read the Haynes procedures have put off working on the trans stuff until I had time to investigate more closely. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Well, you start by wrapping your hand around the shaft.
The shift selector going into the gearbox should have three positions as it slides (slowly, lovingly) in and out of the casing. In the end positions, it should not rotate. In the center position it should. . .this is neutral. _________________ Toofah King Bad
