Are those parts (timing belt & tensioner) still stupidly expensive down-over-under-across there? I'm vaguely recalling the equivalent of about $50 for a timing belt.. Or was that for both a belt and tensioner wheel? _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

UK prices: timing belt £5, tensioner £18, nearly $50 (US) together.
That's not too expensive... is it? _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Here, the best price (last I checked) for the belt was about $8-$10 and the tensioner about $20, so roughly $30 for both.
-But last time I ordered (from thepartsbin.com) they sent me the wrong tensioners, -but then again the ones they sent (for a VW TDI) they sell for about $55. -So their screw-up was in my favor. -But screw-ups like this can get expensive when shipping overseas. _________________ "..it's made in Germany.
