Don't know about the 968, but I have the 944 9" booster in the track car. It bolts right up, but I had to relocate the throttle cable hole in the firewall for clearance. Using the 944 top hat, it is also longer meaning the brake lines no longer fit and tilts up at a slight angle which is not a problem with hood clearance.

You might look at changing the hole location in the brake pedal to increase the pedal ratio as the Chevy LS conversion folks have done. I think the 7" booster is a 2-1 ratio and the 9" is a 3-1. Might well be wrong on that.
