Strange enough one of my springs has broken today.

I have a trackday this weekend and can't get new lowered springs that fast.

I am going to cut my original springs temporarily.

I want to lower about 1,25 to 1,5 inch (3 - 3,5cm)

How may rings do I need to cut of 1/2 or 1 or 2 ???

many thanks.

The best way to know is to look at your car and measure it.

With weight on your springs (that is, car on the ground), look at the springs and mark where you want the car to be.

Cut off a little more than that, since cutting your spring will increase its rate. So, if you want to cut off 10% of the spring, increase the amout you cut off by an additional 10% (so, cut off 11%) in order to get the final height right.

I've seen it done by exposing the spring to large amounts of heat (gas torch)...

but I guess that #### your spring constant...

You should switch to standard size racing springs... 2.5"x8" here in the US, not sure what sizes are normal over there except I think 60mm is too small for some adjustable height collars...
