Wow, there has been a lot of blah blah blah on this topic, you actually did it! Nice job on the oil pan, but it looks like limited slip might be helpful.

I am sure I speak for others when I ask whether you'll be posting more info on this conversion. Great job!

rasta

P.S. What is your plan for the hood?

yes a limited slip would be nice! but there are plans for audi 6speed transmission it revs to much like it is now.
The diesel engine and most audi 5cyl are almost the same so this conversion works for them also.

engine is tilted about 8 degrees for manifold and turbo clearance, the tourque tube flange is just cutted and rewelded.

New made oil pickup

oilfilterholder is rotated forward for clearance and water/oilcooler is changed for external oilcooler (not in picture)

Flywheel is from a volvo 240 diesel(uses 6 cyl audi diesel) and it hade material removed so the 240mm audi pressureplate fits.

Even had to remove material from pressureplate! not much room in porsche bellhousing

engine mounts

Engine is about 100mm longer than 924 engine and antirollbar is lowered.

Never mind the date! my old camera always reset when the batterys are dead

Thats it!

Impressive job on the motor mounts and the clutch setup. Looks like a fairly tight squeeze in certain spots. Just wish I had highspeed so I could look at the video!

Awesome work buddy... Now, I also have to thank you for your music choice in the video... I have had the song stuck in my head for 2 days... I go to sleep thinking about it, wake up thinking about it... sing it all day...

To the guy with the 5 cylinder diesel... have you changed your gearbox ratios as top speed would not be much at max rpm?

Any chance of creating a parts list for the conversion as I am tempted to build a 931 diesel

Thanks

Mathew
