Just checked the '77 in the garage, and it plugs into the base of the distributor. Check it out!

Color diagrams rock, I think Ill look into remaking one with some of the software going around, makes it mutch more simply to work on, do you guys, I think there has always been a dabate over copyrigth and so on, so If I were to make one and sitributed, would it be alrigth or would go against the forums rules.

Adismo, also check on the haynes, I got that one and also the clymer, Ive notice that some things on one may show on one but not the other, this will help you later.

No pics, but it should attach to the right side of the distributor as you look at it from the front of the car. If all else fails, I'll get a pic of it, but I'm lazy!!

No mate, thats just a hole. Obviously missing the pressed in metal cap but no big deal. Perhaps stick some tape or whatever over it to stop crap entering and possibly affecting the advance mech.

That plug inserts in to the black socket with two male pins that is at the top edge of the aluminium casting, just below the cap. Look around behind the dizzy. Can pull and rotate the dizzy for easier access if you know how to retime it. Probably not a good idea for you though.

The plug is polarized, should only fit in one way. If in doubt the right hand side terminal pin at dizzy goes to the grounded side of the connector.

Look to the side of the distributor facing to the firewall. There should be a black male plug, check it.
