So Cbass has just been offered an intact 951 windshield for a song. I'm aware of the integrated antenna and how the windshield sits flush, but is it a differently shaped piece of glass or is it just the windshield moulding underneath that makes it sit higher? _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

I think it's only shaped slightly differently to sit flush when it is raised up. Besides the blocks that raise it up and the rubber surround, the interior a-pillar covers are wider to make up the gap, and the later dash is shaped differently where it meets the windshield to take up the extra gap too. Not sure what the CGT did when it came to those items? _________________ 1980 931S

Ok I might as well use the 951 windshield then. Getting the whole thing complete with the body metal surrounding it. Sawzall _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
