I have upgraded the board software to the latest production version of phpBB. Basically it should look identical to the old version except for a "^" in front of the posts that are stuck at the top of a forum list and a couple of minor changes to icons.
If you have any problems or see something strange let me know.

Peter, you're a saint!
Winter's starting to drag on a bit up here. Have a couple for me at your next 'barbi'.

Saint Peter,
Why are we suddenly having to scroll sideways or is it the natural but harmful fluoride in my well water causing this?

Dwak,
I think the sideways scrolling thing is caused by large pictures like the one on the last page of the "Best Looking 924" topic. Basically, the pic gives your browser a new maximum page width and it's happy to keep using that. |

Is it possible to include the current time on the main page? Not a fancy ticking clock, just the current time when loading the page, in the same time zone than those in the posts, so it would be easier to check if there is a new post.

Teo, that would be a simple thing.
What I'd really like to do is to find a way to convert all the dates to the browser local timezone. Problem is that all work is done on the server (no java or javascript) so there are very few browser requirements.
If I could reliably determine the time at the browser without forcing people to use java or javascript the conversion would be easy. Any ideas?
I've added the time at the bottom of the page. |

How about a time zone field in the user profile? For those who fill it, you can calculate the local time, for those who don't it stays as is.
(a few minutes later)
And as this would only work when logged in, you could store this information in the cookie, so it would work without logging in, too.
