Maybe Alan will lend us the molds to have someone here in the States make copies of.

Deposit some money, plus cover shipping.
Ship molds to States.
Have FG copies made of molds.
Ship molds back to AUS.
Refund deposit.

Shipping would be paid for by the US guys.

Then again it might just be as easy to buy the rear flares for 250 from GTracing.. but if we were to do the whole kit it might make it worth it.

I really only need the rear fender flares and the front facia as well. No scoop, no front fenders(will use 944 n/a fenders), no rear bumper.

Ok the news is... Alan has delivered the moulds to me...I deliver them to the glasser Nick on saturday (spoke to him this morning). The glasser will work for another week then have a couple of weeks off over christmas.
When i deliver them on saturday he will give me a rough quote on what subsequent sets will cost....BUT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE ARE LOOKING AT LESS THEN $1000 FOR A FULL SET....this here in aus is definately an unbeatable amount!!

FRom first glances glasser reckons definately less than the $1000 mark.. (plus a small commision to those who did the work...mainly alan as theyre his moulds)..will know exactly on saturday....also if there is someone who wants a set NOW then please PM me ASAP so we can organise payment as im getting one set made on saturday which will be ready on the 7th Jan (after glassers holiday as he is doing them at home) but two sets would be better to keep their appetite wet for the aus 924 market.

From what i could tell it sounded like the glasser wanted to have a couple of sets done by 7th jan!..ANY TAKERS?? first in first served...i may even be able to ask him to do a few by then.....but it all comes down to how much time he has over xmas (he may want the extra xmas money)....He also said that he will have the inside sprayed black with the outside in acrylic primer ready to paint...any other suggestions??
REMEMBER THE PRICE OF A FIBREGLASS FRONT VALENCE ALONE IS ABOUT $400 THEN SHIPPING ETC MAKES THIS SINGLE PART CLOSE TO THE PRICE FOR THE FULL KIT FROM THIS GLASSER...
There may be slight fee to help recover transporting costs and price of mould costs but should be minimal . Also i dont guarantee that after the first set of sets he wont put up the price ..its a gamble, but the first sets (done before 7th jan) are under the $1000 mark

My cars body is looking reasonable at the moment and I cant afford anything much more anyway. But I do want a rear wing first and hopefully will cost much less than the other guy. Get a price and if its reasonable will take one whenever he can do it, this year or next.

Was also wondering if he can gellcoat these panels in the mold, black for a spoiler, to eliminate painting afterwards.

Ok all prices are in..sorry for taking so long..
Ok The basics--

1) The price for the full kit is $1000 AUS (there is a small fee in there for all my organising and running moulds/parts up and down to the coast)+ $200 mould commision to Alan the moulds owners ie $1200

2) The interior of the parts are being done in a BLACK GELCOAT wheres the exterior are being done in a GREY PRIMER ( at no extra cost).

3) You have the option of either picking the kit up from me or organise your own shipping. We will not give you the name or contact details for the glasser, the reason being that we have to make sure that those who did the organising ie me and alan have our time (and transport costs) paid off aswell as Alan getting his commision for the moulds.

4) The Kit is significantly lower in cost then you will find ANYWHERE as you will see below

5) The glasser will keep doing the kit untill things get too slow..ie GET IN QUICK !!

6) Alan had the parts maid by another glasser at a cost of way over $2000

7) So far no-one has stuck the kit onto their car, but we are quite certain it will be an excellent fit as the original owner of the moulds years ago use to make them for the 924.

8 ) REMEMBER that this project is a few guys getting together to better help the 924 AUSTRALIA/ NZ community and because of this we are NOT a business just a few guys trying to get a 924 GT kit available at a cost effective price to members. THERE MAY BE SOME SLIGHT MODIFICATIONS needed to your kit..ie you MAY (not 100% sure) need to drill your own little holes for bolts etc..YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FITTING YOUR KIT THE WAY YOU BEST SEE FIT..

9) Parts will most probably be bubble wrapped to help during transport

10) The addition of this kit will most likely give you a weight reduction- cause theyre fibreglass. IF NOT THEY WILL MAKE YOUR 924 LOOK A HELL OF A LOT MORE SICK AND STOP PEOPLE CALING OUR MUCH LOVED 924's a RX-7 !!

THE PRICE LIST

1) FULL KIT = $1200 AUS

2) FRONT FENDERS = $320

3) REAR FLARES = $240

4)LEFT AND RIGHT THIN SKIRTS =$120

5) REAR SPOILER = $150

6) REAR BUMPER = $130

7) FRONT SCOOP = $80

8 ) FRONT BUMPER / SPOILER = $310

SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER
- The full price of the Kit (after Alans mould commision and my organising fee) is $1200 AUS WHEREAS the sum of the parts is $1350 AUS the discrepency in price there is to promote people to buy the WHOLE KIT yet still give them the option to mix and match parts they need .. eg some people already have rear spoilers on their car and dont need one.

- The glasser told me that the rear spoiler is one of the harder parts to make and this is reflected in its price...something about really thin lips.

- Ive been as upfront as possible about these kits remember not a business just a few dudes trying to help everyone out.. so if you want to put your dogs onto me or sue me for a bolt hole being slightly off then 1) youll get no money as i have none 2) dont bother with this kit , get it sent in from the US for $3500 (Im quite certain we will have a very snug fit though)

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Ive attached prices from GT- Racing a company in the US i think that also does fibreglass parts for a price comparison

http://www.gt-racing.com/pdfs/GTR944.pdf

Basically their Front fenders are $495 US or $577 AUS compared to these $320

Their Front spoiler/bumper is $425 US or $495 AUS compared to these $310

Their scoop (also the ones on ebay atm similar price) is $195 US or $227 AUS compared to these for $80 AUS

And so on and so forth... Add this to shipping costs for the pieces and YEAH I THINK YOU GET THE DRIFT.. Im not doing this to put down their products but just to give you a cost comparisson...If you want you can look at other companies that do these or similar kits such as PEFA- Design to confirm prices... OK thats enough writing for me time for lunch!

Just a side note :

When the cost of the molds has been covered then they will be "lent" to the new Aussie 924 club and any commissions made will then go towards the club to help it grow.

What would shipping costs be to the States??

Maybe if we combined shipping for two or three kits?
