Yeah, you just have to pay for them to be shipped from Oz.

yeah, thats the part that sucks - still very curious - especially in the weight. I know the C2 and C3 Corvettes fiberglass is actually heavier than if they were steel bodied (due to having to make them stronger). This is why I am mainly curious about the NET weight loss or gain with these panels and their relative strength.

I would bet they are relatively not so strong.

There would be no weight savings in putting on this kit. The only steel parts you would be losing would be the fenders and the lower valance panel.

You would actually be adding weight by putting the kit on the car. It makes the car look very fast when installed though!!

Good job on the parts!

Ditto... except for the "difficult" bit...

ouch..... not sure what the prices should be, but that would put it well out of my league unfortunately.

perhaps we could all just fly up north, grab a few cases of beer, a shitload of fibre glass, and not leave till we all have a set.....

I dabble in FG all day and cannot understand why a hood scoop should cost $271. It is simple to make and should not take long to make it. I would not pay more than $50 for any scoop. I would buy generic scoop and make it fit before I would pay that amount.

I was thinking around $1200 - $1500 plus post.

Over $2000 is beyond my budget.

There is no reason to buy CGT front end parts. There are thousands of dead 944s in salvage yards, and I understand it is both the factory correct part and a bolt-on affair. Am I missing something (aside from the steel v glass part)?

rasta, you might be missing the fact that we are in australia.....

porsches dont just rust away at the wreckers here, they are scavenged by the few specialist porsche wreckers very quickly, and they charge a premium for the parts.....

well, that is essentially a grand for the front clip alone, and there are 944 parts cars over here cheaper than that. . .maybe you should work with a west coast dismantler to supply Oz. . .

i'm serious!

I will be visiting the glasser next week to look at weights and cost.

Trust me what I pay you pay.

Now that the car is going to be wider ... what size tyres (tires in the US ) and rims do I need ?
