Just a reminder of what the kit looks like. The guy now doing the kit exports his motorsport kits overseas so we may be able to do the same

Approx weights and min packaging sizes

Rear Bumper 2.9kg 150 x 40 x 18
Front Bumper 3.8 kg 180 x 70 x 40
Front Guard 3.5 kg each 160 x 70 x 25
Rear Guard 2.8 kg each 130 x 60 x 25
Spoiler 1.3 kg 140 x 90 x 10
on Rear Glass
Side Skirts .45 kg each 140 x 14 x 4
between guards
Hood Scoupe 1.1 kg 60 x 35 x 10

Total 22.6 kg approx

So seeing all this reminded me.... there is a guy on the MX5 forum (mx5cartalk.com) that does carbon fibre as a job.

Apparnently he does carbon fibre in his spare time as well, so what i'm getting at is if people were interested, moulds available and he was up for it maybe we could get some carbon fibre parts instead?

I have just been going through and having a look at one of his threads here http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=42153&start=120

PS He's in Melbourne

Where are we at with the kits at present?
Would be interested in one if they can still be done for around the $1000 mark.

thought I'd post some pics of a bonnet that I made,
yes they are shitty cam phone pics and the weathers terrible today so the chances of me getting out in the sun to take better pics is remote, you get the idea,
this one's just a skin, and will probably have and aluminium strip for extra bracing

Maybe not a great pic but a bloody great effort Stu!

Did you make a mould?

Sure I want one of those now.
